Stephen Olmstead
Owner/Creative Development
Originally the man behind Vigilant Studios and blogging construct, Pulse of Thought, Stephen enjoys anything and everything creative. Stephen received his AAS in Digital Imaging from Mesa Community College, and his BAS in Digital Media Management from Arizona State University. He completed his senior thesis at ASU on the topic of refining workflow/proofing systems in creative environments. He has worked as a designer and production artist for multiple companies which include print shops, nonprofits, design studios, and freelance ventures.
Unable to commit to one single aspect of design, Stephen has found that he is passionate about the concept of creativity. Adept in graphic/web design, cinematography, photography, and musical composition, he rarely finds himself solely in one field at any given time. In addition to his passion for the arts, he has recently become fixated on improving process and workflow systems in small to medium-sized creative-oriented workplaces. His pride and joy is the Sonata-Allegro Workflow Model (a methodology that seeks to apply musical/song theory to the creative workflow process) which he officially launched in 2008 after years of development. Stephen is the primary writer and maintainer of the Sonata Blog featured on this site.
Stephen is an avid music-listener (all hail Pandora!) and a musician himself who plays the trumpet and attempts (very badly) to play the piano and sing as well. Stephen is actively involved at his local church where he leads a young adults ministry. He is married to his lovely wife Celeste, whom he enjoys spending every moment of every day with; she is his best friend and better half! Stephen’s thoughts and actions are based on a desire to glorify God better. He is a sinner saved by grace.

Celeste Olmstead
Process/Organizational Development
Celeste is a woman motivated by a desire to see things done right from top to bottom; in short, she’s a perfectionist. Celeste has received schooling at Mesa Community College and Arizona State University, and has worked for various organizations fulfilling a multitude of roles. In recent years she has been employed as a creative assistant and finance advisor.
Celeste’s passion is order. She enjoys creating documents, forms, and processes that enrich and simplify business structures. She’s the one that prepares and edits anything content related for client’s sites, forms, and structures. In addition to these skills, Celeste remains a purveyor and practitioner of the fine arts. She is an avid painter, potter, and sculptor… and a good one at that (though she might never admit it!).
Celeste is married to her goofy husband, Stephen, and loves him despite his oddities. She enjoys the simple things of life: a good book, a nice cup of coffee, her cat Simon, playing tetris on XBOX 360, and watching House MD. She makes a mean cup of Espresso and enjoys cooking new and unique dishes. She is a sinner saved by grace as well and finds that she is learning to appreciate new aspects of God’s love day by day.
