Using Twitter to Find Work

Hey all- this is my very first screencast. I think I’m going to do many more of these, so please feel free to let me know what you think. This particular screencast focuses on getting work using Twitter. In this lesson I ’spill’ a few secrets to finding job leads and teach you how to leverage technology to this end. I hope you find it helpful.
I think you may have just saved my life.
Glad this was helpful Rick- thanks so much for dropping by and taking the time view!
Pretty cool Stephen thanks for sharing..
Hey Stephen,
Great job! I like how I can see you in the screencast. Much better than when I can’t see folks. I have checked out Times again. Will let you know if your tips work for me! How the heck is the font you have on here just plain text? Look fwd to more screencasts.
Intellectual property. Thanks.
Excellent screencast and great information. I am eager to do a search for people looking for a Realtor. I can refer anywhere in the US, so hopefully I will find some folks who need some help! Thanks for sharing your strategies!!
Diane
Very nice! Have twittered this already. Will tweet it again. Love that Times RSS reader, going to download it now!
Wonderful screencast! I’ve been using Twitter casually for a while, but really wasn’t aware at some of the tools at my disposal, such as the search. Just started playing with Tweet Deck, and have set up some searches. Will probably use my day off tomorrow to get familiar with Times Reader.
Michael, Michelle, Dian, Donya, Michael, and Jeff- Thanks so much for the feedback! I’m so glad this is proving helpful/useful to you all out there. I’m really glad to see that this is making the rounds to those of outside of the graphic design field as well. Let me know if you have any success using this method.
Jeff- The text on here is actually being dynamically generated using a technique called sIFR (sean inman flash replacement). Essentially this technique employs a flashscript which ‘holds’ a font in it. The flashscript is then called up via CSS and styled into the headings or whatever areas you want to display non-standard text. I love it because it’s still SEO friendly and selectable. A search on google should yield much more info for you. Thanks for commenting my friend!
Love your website. Thanks for helping…peace.
Thanks Stephen that was awesome. Knew it was possible but never seen it all explained so well. Especially like the Times RSS reader. Might give that a shot.
